In 1997 the MBC included an article on Licensed Midwifery program in the "Action Report", which is a quarterly newsletter sent to all 100,000+ California doctors. It 
requested doctors interested in providing physician supervision to contact MBC. The staff member assigned to the midwifery licensing program personally communicated to me that the MBC received NO responses from physicians wishing to obtain information about physician supervision.
